When in Jackson what could be better than skiing Teton Pass, Cody Bowl, or Corbet's Couloir? Eating breakfast (or dinner) at Nora's Fish Creek Inn the same day. Nora's, established in 1982 is an oasis of some of the best tasting vittles in the Jackson area and maybe the planet. Don't expect some foo foo place where the jet set jets. This is where the locals hang. Nora's is located on the approach to Teton Pass in Wilson away from the uber touristy part of Jackson. The inn is a rustic cabin with peeled logs with a woodcut of a trout on the roof. It offers a rustic atmosphere with country style casual dining.

The hearty breakfasts are about the best you'll find anywhere. The pancakes are light and fluffy with a crisp edge. The blueberry flapjacks come with a walloping sauce of blueberries. The bacon is cut thick and is crisp. Other favorites are the breakfast burritos, banana bread french toast, huevos rancheros, and the local trout with eggs (a winner). The Four Seasons has nothing over this place!!!

Dinner isn't too shabby either. The food is fresh and perfectly prepared. To compliment your meal , Nora's serves up primo margarita's and the beer is served in an ice cold frosted mug. The elk tenderloin with blackberry wine sauce is one of their signature dishes. I'm still thinking about the trout coated in blue cornmeal served up with mashers and gravy. Yeah baby, mountain soul food!!! The honey hickory baby back ribs are definitely finger lickin' good.

Head west out of town to Nora's for some of the best eats in the Jackson area (and the planet). They won't break your wallet and they'll keep you smiling.
