Lost Trail Lodge

Sierra Nevada - Coldstream Canyon, north of Sqaw Valley, California

Recessed in Coldstream Canyon, Lost Trail Lodge offers access to some of the Sierra Nevada's best skiing terrain. Private rooms, some with jacuzzis, plus large living room and kitchen.

Peter Grubb Hut

Sierra Nevada - Truckee region, between Basin and Castle Peaks, California

Peter Grubb Hut is one of the four Tahoe/Donner Huts. Built in late 1930's. The cabin is just off the Pacific Crest Trail. Overnight parking available @ California Sno Park. Woodstove equipped, but bring your own food, supplies, and sleeping bag. Stocked firewood-nominal contribution requested from winter users to offset expenses.

10th Mountain Hut System

Rocky Mountains - east of the Continental Deivide, near Leadville., Colorado

10th Mountain Huts honor the men of 10th Mountain Division of the US Army who trained during WW II at Camp Hale in central Colorado. The huts have wood burning or propane stoves, propane burners, outhouses, ample supply of chopped wood and solar lighting. A few have saunas. Need food, supplies and sleeping bag for bed.

Never Summer Yurts

Northern Colorado Rocky Mountains (Park Range) - Walden, CO, Colorado

The Never Summer Yurts are located in northern Colorado in the Park Range of the Rocky Mountains.There are eleven yurts which are tent-like elevated canvas structures which offers the backcountry skier a secure, secluded setting. Each yurt provides beds, cooking utensils and facilities, firewood,and a wood stove. The three North Park Yurts allow dogs due to drive up access in the winter. Elevations range from 8,800-9,600 ft.
